Players and Families Say

“I am so grateful for all the blood sweat and tears you put into our boys. Nate would not be the fine young man he is today, without the structure and commitment and family of Empire.”

“Trust me-he feeds off of your enthusiasm and devotion. I’ve seen him in situations that have had the complete opposite effect. So kudos to you and your team for all you do to inspire JJ and all of your students. You instill life lessons that reach far beyond baseball.”

“Malcolm continues to be inspired by his experiences at Empire... Honestly, it was your organization that got him out of his shell and has helped him in so many ways independent of baseball. For that I will always be grateful to you personally.”

“You have instilled in him a sense of responsibility. He is eager to work hard and be the best he can be at baseball.”

“My husband and I are seeing this focus and drive channeled in other aspects of his life-both socially and academically. You and your program have proven to be a truly positive influence on him.”

“The boys have really grown into a team-- it's such fun watching them all together after a couple of seasons. You guys have done a great job not just with the skills, but the spirit of the team. It's really such a pleasure to watch the boys  grow up together.”

“The coaches are beyond amazing (okay not surprised here, but even exceeded my expectations), engaging and using every interaction as a learning opportunity.”

“Thank you for being so professional with everything - it's really teaching these boys some great life lessons, aside from teaching them great baseball.”

“Empire has been amazing for Jack. He played his first season this year and as I have said to anyone we tell - hands down the best program in the city we have ever done!”

“Thank you for a phenomenal season. Jack had an amazing season, and we were incredibly impressed with the organization and teaching in the program. Thank you for making it all look so seamless - when we all know it was not (especially with the weather).”

"Thank you for bringing out his ability and making him a better player and person."

"Where have you and your philosophy been all of our baseball years? We are so happy that Justin is in the Empire."

“I have been impressed not only with the baseball skills, but the discipline and sportsmanship they teach – among other things, there is no yelling from the sidelines by either coaches or kids’ parents. The philosophy is a breath of fresh air…”

“Thank you for all you do to foster the right attitude among the players. It’s a great organization in so many ways, and we’re grateful to be a part of it.”

Our History

Home Hustle.jpg

New York Empire Baseball was founded in 2009 with the purpose of enhancing the youth sports experience in New York City. Since then, New York Empire Baseball’s programs have been featured both in local media as well as in the Wall Street Journal and on NBC News, the Wall Street Journal, and ESPN Radio.

Youth sports should be organized to develop the academic, athletic and social skills of tomorrow’s leaders on- and off-the-field. Through years of experience, the founders saw that this type of development was taking a back seat to profits, unfriendly competition through a win-at-all-costs attitude, and even some vicarious parental involvement. Don’t get us wrong – New York Empire Baseball believes that competition and development aren’t mutually exclusive – in fact, we believe they go hand in hand – friendly competition brings out the best in all of us. We have been coaching children ages 3 – 17 for the last 10 years, and we treat all of them with the respect they deserve. We strive to provide each child we encounter with the tools they need to succeed on- and off-the-field, today and tomorrow. Children are coached not by parents, but by exceptional coaches – educated and mature role models who have seen their share of on- and off-the-field successes and failures, and have learned to grow and teach from their experiences.

After being a part of New York Empire Baseball, our players are noted by their parents, other teams, and even the other teams’ parents for their maturity, teamwork and for their ability to make smart decisions in tough situations – all in addition to their ability to run, throw, hit and field.  In addition to training and developing some of the finest baseball players in New York, we also teach life lessons through baseball.

Our Founder

“Jordan is 6x NPA certified, emphasizes the 4 pillars to develop well-rounded athletes and represents NPA values… He exemplifies a passion for learning and the never-ending curiosity that fuels our quest to develop pitcher health and performance.”

Dr. Tom House
Founder of the National Pitching Association

Jordan Baltimore is the Founder and Director of Research & Training at New York Empire Baseball.

Born and raised in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Jordan attended Hunter College High School and New York University’s Stern School of Business before earning his MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business at the age of 26.

Jordan’s passion for and deep understanding of the game and his insatiable intellectual curiosity are at the heart of New York Empire Baseball’s instruction and teams.  His own hardwork, hustle and teamwork have driven New York Empire Baseball from 1 team to over 1000 players in New York City. Jordan was the first baseball coach in the world to earn Driveline Baseball’s Coaching Certification, and he’s also the pitching consultant to NYU Langone’s Sports Performance Center.  All after having been 6X certified by the National Pitching Association and being named their Area Director for New York City.

A motivating, passionate and energetic coach, Jordan connects closely with players, instructing all ages in both the physical and mental/emotional aspects of the game.  His understanding of the physics and biomechanics of hitting, pitching and fielding and his ability to teach it are exceptional. More impressive has been his ability to build an entire organization and coaching staff that can bring New York Empire Baseball’s culture and level of coaching to thousands of children and players of all ages and skill levels.

Jordan’s expertise and style have become the subject of numerous articles and television and radio spots, most notably in the Wall Street Journal, and on NBC News and ESPN Radio.  His certification by Driveline Baseball, K-Motion, OnBase University, the National Pitching Association and USA Baseball, among other nationally recognized baseball programs is a testament to his dedication to the highest levels of baseball instruction.

He has become a highly sought after instructor by individuals and teams across the country, and he was the Varsity Baseball Coach at his alma mater, Hunter College High School and is a special trainer to the NYU Baseball Pitching Staff.

The growth of New York Empire Baseball’s culture and organization have made him a well respected business leader in the baseball industry, and he’s one of only two members of the American Baseball Coaches Association to have been named to the ABCA's Youth Baseball Committee and Travel Baseball Committee.

Outside of The Arena and off the field, Jordan enjoys spending every moment at home or traveling with his wife, Jaclyn, and their daughter.

Our Instructors & Coaches

Educated, inspiring coaches whose job it is to train, prepare and motivate players to do their best. Coaches that teach players that great process will bring great outcomes. That failure is merely a bump in the road as they learn the correlation between hard work and success.

We’re not ex-ballplayers shouting baseball rhetoric. We’re experienced instructors trained specifically with different age and skill levels providing unique individual instruction. We’re psychology & physics and researchers with an approach rooted in science, not anecdotes.  And we’re learning and evolving and improving every day.
